How often do I need to get a CARB test?

  • If your vehicle runs diesel and is over 14,000 GVWR then you need to get tested 1x per year

How long does it take?

  • If the engine is 2012 or older - the smoke opacity test and visual inspection take about 30-45 min 
  • If the engine is 2013 or newer - the compliance test is simply a software test that takes about 15 - 20 min
